Remembering The King of Pop

Nearly all major cable networks and broadcast channels are broadcasting Michael Jackson's memorial service today at the Staples Center. I am watching it right now, actually surprised by the emotions I am feeling. It's amazing to listen to so many music greats sing and speak in his honor. And all the pallbearers are wearing a single white glove.

Berry Gordy gave a very nice tribute, saying being called the King of Pop isn't enough: "I think he is simply the greatest entertainer that ever lived."

For live-blogging, you can check out NYTimes, Vanity Fair and EW.com (video included in NYT and EW), or follow @LizLidgett who is a Palestra reporter Tweeting the event from inside.
