Final week of DWTS

A little late, but here are the final dances of Dancing with the Stars. Shawn and Mark ended up winning (much to my delight), though I thoroughly enjoyed all three finalists. Make sure to check out the finalists on Good Morning America too!

Guilty pleasure - the semi-finals

In last night's semi-finals, everyone again danced twice. Melissa Rycroft and Tony danced the quickstep and the cha cha. Gilles Marini and his partner Cheryl Burke got two perfect scores for their waltz and salsa, which were absolutely amazing. Shawn Johnson and her partner Mark danced the argentine tango and the jive. Ty Murray and (fav.) Chelsie Hightower danced the samba and the viennese waltz. I love them all, I can't decide which one I want to go home tonight! For a full recap, click here.

DWTS Week 9

I watched the results show tonight before I actually watched the performances. I don't think I'll be doing that again because now I know what happened as I write about the dances. Let's just say all my favorites are still in the competition, including Ty Murray and Chelsie Hightower (though I can't find their video clips). Each of the couples performed twice, so there are many videos below to watch. Shawn Johnson and her partner Mark danced the Paso Doble and the Quick Step. Melissa Rycroft (back from her injury last week) and partner Tony danced the Samba and the Viennese Waltz. Gilles Marini and partner Cheryl Burke danced the FoxTrot and the Rumba. DWTS Week 8

Last night's Dancing with the Stars was interesting. The dances were good, but I wasn't blown away by any one of my typical favorites. I did love watching Chelsie Hightower with Ty Murray though. She really worked that salsa. After an injury, Melissa Rycroft did not dance and the couples split in to two teams—Team Mambo vs. Team Tango. Gilles Marini and his partner Cheryl Burke danced the Lindy Hop, Shawn Johnson and Mark danced the samba and Chuck Wicks and partner Julianne Hough danced the cha cha. For a full recap, click here.

Guilty pleasure Week 7

I'm not completely sure why, but I absolutely loved Dancing with the Stars last night. It could be because of the group dance or Shawn Johnson's fun and flirty cha cha with Mark! She let loose and was so great to watch! Melissa Rycroft and her partner Tony danced a fiery Argentine tango, and Chuck Wicks and Julianne Hough were HOT in their samba this week. Guilty pleasure Week 6

Shawn Johnson's Rumba last night on Dancing with the Stars had my jaw drop. She looked absolutely beautiful! I loved her pale pink, rhinestoned costume and her poofed hair. I thought she did a fantastic job with such a sensual dance (I mean, come on, she's only 17). The leaders were a little bit mixed this week, with Lil' Kim and her partner Derek garnering the highest scores, Melissa Rycroft and Tony taking second, and Shawn and Mark, Gilles and Cheryl tying for third. DWTS 4

Some surprises this week, including Ty Murray (aka Jewel's husband) and Chelsie Hightower (one of my favorites from last season's So You Think You Can Dance on FOX) dancing a very energetic Lindy Hop! She's definitely worked her magic on Ty, who has improved so much since the beginning of the season! Usual favs were great again this week with Gilles Marini and his partner Cheryl Burke getting a perfect 30/30 from the judges for their Argentine Tango! Their dance was unbelievable! The couple looked gorgeous, I absolutely loved Cheryl's purple dress. Shawn Johnson and Melissa Rycroft both performed the Lindy Hop with their partners.

DWTS Week 2

Shawn and Melissa danced the salsa with their partners. Another dancer topping my favorites list is Gilles Marini, who danced a Superman-themed quickstep with partner Cheryl Burke (their cha cha from Week 1 is the last video). If you don't know who Gilles is, he played Samantha's incredibly sexy neighbor in the "Sex and the City" movie. *He also had a now famous nude shower scene in the movie. DWTS clips

I haven't been a fan of Dancing with the Stars before, but after watching the season premiere last night, I already have two favorites in the competition—Olympic gymnast Shawn Johnson and Bachelor ex-fiance Melissa Rycroft! They were great, and I think I'm going to have to tune in each week to see how they progress.
